New head of marketing & sales

Effective January 1, 2021, Dirk Köpsel will assume the position of Director for Marketing & Sales at Klingspor Management GmbH.
His new role makes him the successor of Olaf ter Jung, who was appointed to the executive board on July 1, 2019.

Dirk Köpsel joined the company in 2016 and became sales director for the market in Germany. While serving in this position, he managed to leave his own distinctive mark: Among his accomplishments are the reframing of the sales organization, Klingspor’s enhanced visibility on the retail market and the expansion of the digital interfaces with the customers. Soon thereafter, his area of responsibility was expanded by the duties of the marketing director and head of sales for additional countries.

“Dirk Köpsel has managed to blend in with the Klingspor organization in no time flat thanks to his enormous dedication”, concludes Olaf ter Jung, Chairman of the Board of Klingspor AG. “His finely developed sense for picking up on trends has given fresh impetus to the company time and again. His new role puts Dirk Köpsel in charge of the departments of e-commerce and marketing for the entire Klingspor Group as well as of sales for the territories of Europe, Asia, and Australia. His ambitious goals include a push to further interlink the marketing and sales activities of the Klingspor Group and to take the group's digitisation to the next level. “I look forward to my new position and the challenges that come with it”, stresses Köpsel. “Since I joined the company in 2016, I have already had the pleasure of lending my assistance to many exciting projects.
