The SMT 924 Special abrasive mop disc owes its unmatched aggressiveness - i.e. its exceptional speed of stock removal - to its ceramic aluminium oxide grain. This synthetic crystal is both remarkably hard and extremely tough, which makes the material resistant to breakage and tearing. Sharp-edged and pointy, the grain has little wear and is self-sharpening. This ultra-efficient abrasive grain allows for work on edges with impeccable results. The abrasive mop disc produces optimum results on stainless steel and steel. To ensure this level of excellence, Klingspor offers the disc in different grit sizes.

Perfect result thanks to optimised design

The abrasive grain has been applied to the cloth flaps with an even coating. The combination of the self-sharpening grain on the coated abrasive flaps guarantees that grinding is always carried out with fresh grain and thus the removal remains constant. The flaps have been attached to a reinforced glass fibre backing plate. Providing the resilience necessary for the job, the flaps ensure that the force is transmitted to the workpiece being processed without any losses. This quality allows the user to work on the surface with ultimate flexibility.
Available in a variety of diameters, the SMT 924 Special abrasive mop disc boasts a convex design that lets the user work with a s mall abrasive surface area. Unlike its sibling with a flat design, this model is ideally suited for high contact pressure during edge grinding.

The SMT 924 Special abrasive mop disc has also been engineered for operation with high- powered angle grinders (80 m/s). It allows for increased tool pressure and, thus, the highest possible removal rate. The work results remain consistent until the abrasive mop disc has reached the end of its useful life.
