Highly versatile – the Klingspor wide belt CS 412 Y
With their abrasive belt CS 412 Y Klingspor is offering a handy product for universal use that is suited for grinding
- stainless steel,
- metal,
- steel
- and NF metal.
It is used for rough and intermediate grinding on metal and manufactured in a multitude of grit sizes.
The backing: robust and tear-resistant polyester
The wide belt CS 412 Y comes with a backing that is made of a cloth material. To make this belt ideal for aluminium, Klingspor furnishes this belt with a tear-resistant polyester cloth backing of extra high quality. This premium backing makes this belt particularly robust and durable. Consequently, the CS 412 Y is an excellent tool for grinding applications that require a high stock removal rate.
The top coat: solid synthetic resin with strong adhesive force
The abrasive grain is applied to a backing made of a polyester cloth. It is furnished with a top size coat made of synthetic resin, which sets itself apart from natural bonding agents with its greater strength and adhesive force, providing for a finish of higher quality. Aware of these unique properties, Klingspor coats all of their abrasives with synthetic resin. This process is supported by laser monitoring to ensure that the thickness of the top size coat is uniform across the entire product. Quality is furthermore ensured by additional weight measurements throughout production. Also referred to as the size coat, the top bond serves the dual purpose of fixing the abrasive grain in place and supporting it against the lateral forces to which it is subjected.
The abrasive grain: closely coated for a boost in effectiveness
To provide for a high stock removal rate, the abrasive grain is applied with a close coating. It covers nearly the entire surface are of the wide belt CS 412 Y. The high coating density also boosts the service life of the abrasive. This abrasive belt makes it possible to process surfaces made of stainless steel, steel, metal and NF metal with great speed and effectiveness over a long period. Its excellent abrasive performance also shortens the time necessary to process each individual workpiece.
