Kronenflex cutting-off wheels A 60 Extra

The Kronenflex cutting-off wheels A 60 Extra are marked by an exceptional price-performance ratio. The wheels are designed for use on angle grinders. They are used primarily

  • by metal workers,
  • in plant engineering,
  • in steel construction, and
  • for repair work

. Possessing a thickness of merely 1.0 mm, these cutting-off wheels are extremely thin. Their unique thinness makes them ideal for cutting thin tubes to length or for cutting metal sheets and profiles. Users working with these Kronenflex cutting-off wheels will achieve high operating speeds at a low tool pressure. The products have been optimised for work on stainless steel and metal.

Properties of the Kronenflex cutting-off wheels A 60 Extra

Since they are relatively hard, these cutting-off wheels deliver a high level of aggressiveness and a long service life. What is more, since they are only 1.0 mm thick, the wheels are guaranteed to produce minimum burr formation. This thickness keeps the thermal load on workpiece and wheel at a minimum. To ensure the Kronenflex cutting-off wheels has the necessary stability, Klingspor reinforces them with a glass fibre cloth. The abrasive grain made of aluminium oxide is arranged between the individual layers of the glass fibre cloth. Aluminium oxide forms a blocky grit that is made up of irregularly shaped crystals. It is hard and tough. Since only using synthetically made aluminium oxide, Klingspor can guarantee consistent quality for each and every wheel. Klingspor specifies a maximum permissible speed for every Kronenflex cutting-off wheel. This speed must not be exceeded for safety reasons. Users will produce optimum cutting results at a speed that is up to the specified as the maximum rpm. If the speed is too low, the cutting-off wheel will wear more quickly. This will cause the cutting edge of the wheel to wear and reduce the life time of the wheel. The tool pressure should be that the wheel can move swiftly through the material. Don’t use excessive pressure whilst cutting With light pressure and maximum speed, professionals and do-it-yourselfers alike will attain optimum work results with the A 60 Extra.
